Billanook College has expanded its already impressive network of bus routes by announcing the school will commence a new service from Eltham in 2017.

Billanook College is an independent, co-educational school catering for Early Learning, Primary and Secondary education in Melbourne's Eastern suburb of Mooroolbark.  Already serviced by an extensive transport network, Billanook runs 20 daily bus routes to the College.  The school also recently added a new route to Alexandra in the Shire of Murrindindi.

Billanook today has announced that it is adding a new bus charter service that will commence at Eltham Station in time for the new school year in 2017.

The route will travel from Eltham to Billanook’s Mooroolbark campus via Warrandyte, Wonga Park and Chirnside Park.

Billanook Principal Roger Oates said there was significant interest in the school from families in Eltham and surrounding suburbs and the College had therefore decided to make access to its Mooroolbark campus easier for those in Nillumbik Shire.

“We know there is strong interest in Billanook in the Eltham region, so we’ve decided to commence a route to and from Eltham station in 2017 to service that demand,” said Oates.

“The move will provide a connection to the Hurstbridge rail line and give residents of Eltham and surrounding areas an additional choice when deciding on the schooling of their children,” Oates added.

Buses for the new Eltham route will be supplied by Crown Coaches, who provide the majority of the school’s charter fleet.
