Community Service & Activity Week
operates on the basis that all children can learn and should be given the opportunity to maximise their learning potential.
Billanook challenges students to grow beyond academic excellence and to make a strong commitment to personal development and responsibility.
Billanook is dedicated to the underlying Pillars of Round Square, one of which is Service to Others.
Demonstrating their Service to Others, our Years 7 and 8 students engage in a range of Community Service projects which include making Trauma Teddies for the Starlight Foundation, knitting baby blankets for Africa, making food and Christmas hampers for the Salvation Army and Anglicare and entertaining elderly citizens from local retirement and nursing homes.
