For over 35 years Billanook College has been delivering life-long learning to its students through quality teaching programs and innovative learning models which inspire students to explore a diverse curriculum, which aims to foster the individual abilities of each child.
The built environment influences learning. In 2015 Billanook’s built environment commenced a construction and refurbishment program. The program will focus on our key teaching and learning spaces and will see the College methodically working at renovating its building infrastructure over the next ten years – 7 buildings over 7 years.
The first stage of the program was completed in Term 1 of 2016 with the successful construction of The Discovery Centre; a multi-purpose open plan learning environment with break-out spaces.
The second stage will be the completion of the new Mastery Centre, which is scheduled for July 2017. Replacing the existing Year 8 building, the Mastery Centre will become a vital learning space which parallels Billanook’s innovative new curriculum.
